Is there really difference between lead gen and affiliate
marketing? Or it’s more useful if we integrate them each other.
Many of us know that there is a competition between lead
generation versus affiliate marketing. Some says I will use lead generation
strategy or affiliate marketing promoting techniques. Both of them are so different
from each other, to let you know better I will explain my own opinion to this
matter. This is my own understanding so if some won’t agree, hope to let me
know.

What is Lead
generation?
It is a mechanism of captivating and attracting people and
potential customers into business products or services. An effective practice
to do this is to find unique ways to attract customers to your business.
A business engenders some remotely an offer,
either a giveaway or a discount, that they optate to exchange for personal
information, typically an electronic mail address, designation, age and so on.
The more valuable the offer, the more information you can ask for. All of this
is put on a landing page, where a visitor can cash the offer in after filling
in the form with the required information.
What is Affiliate
marketing?
It is commonly used to earn an income or
profit by promoting a product or service of a company or an owner. Allows you
to sell variety products online through websites or blogs.
Now, affiliate marketers can link to this landing page in
the same manner they do for any other type of product and the payout is
additionally structured in the same way – per visit, per conversion and so on.
By its definition the answer about the lead gen
versus affiliate marketing will rely depends who understand it. To the lead
generation community they see that affiliate marketing is a channel. And for
affiliate marketing group, lead generation looks it is an offer type. To answer
it, the two are not competing to an online marketing strategy; in fact it can
be use together in making sales and income to online business. We can call them
an affiliate marketing lead generation, sounds
good right?
Conclusion
To make it all clear, once and for all. Affiliate
marketing in a lead generation term is a channel strategy; and in vice versa
lead gen is an offer type of an affiliate marketer. This could just mean that the
affiliate marketing and lead generation doesn’t compete in the online marketing
community. Both can be an ultimate strategy to use in promoting business or
products and surely can get more potential customers.
